2027 Buckeye Elite Basketball Showcase lineup
​​The Buckeye Elite Basketball Showcase Committee is thrilled to announce the matchups for the 2027 Buckeye Elite Basketball Showcase, which will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2027, at Portsmouth High School. Widely recognized as one of the premier regular-season basketball events in southern Ohio, the one-day showcase will feature five outstanding boys basketball games involving teams from central and southern Ohio as well as Kentucky.
The committee believes this year's lineup is among the strongest in recent memory, featuring talented programs, exciting local rivalries, and the addition of Columbus City Leage school to the events. "We are extrememly excited about the schedule and feel that fans will be treated to a full day of outstanding high schhol basketball", said members of the BEBS Committee. "Every game has the potential to be highly competitive and entertaining".

The showcase will once again bring together outstanding players, coaches and communities for a day that celebrates high school basketball. fans can expect a great atmosphere throughout the day as some of the region's top programs comete on one stage. The BEBS Committee looks forward to welcoming teams and fans to Portsmouth High School for what promises to be another memorable edition of the Buckeye Elite Basketball Showcase. ​
Buckeye Elite Basketball Showcase
The B.E.B.S. Committee is proud to announce the organizations that will receive funding from the proceeds of the 2026 Buckeye Elite Basketball Showcase.

All funds raised from this event remain in Southern Ohio and directly support charitable initiatives in Scioto County. A significant portion of the proceeds will be donated to Mylee’s Missions, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing Christmas essentials to underprivileged families in the Portsmouth area.

Additional funds will support the Scioto Christian Academy Youth Athletic Programs. The remaining proceeds will be used to establish a scholarship fund. Beginning in the spring of 2027, this scholarship will be awarded annually to a graduating senior who has participated in the Buckeye Elite Basketball Showcase.
Our History
The Buckeye Elite Basketball Showcase is the longest-running high school basketball event in southern Ohio and has become one of Portsmouth’s most recognizable traditions. It brings together communities from across the region for the purpose of friendly competition while celebrating the game at a high level.
Throughout its history, the showcase has featured some of the top basketball talent from the tri-state area and across the Midwest. Year after year, attendees view the Buckeye Elite Basketball Showcase as one of the best values in high school athletics, offering a high-quality experience for players and fans alike. Its admission policy is designed to keep the event accessible, allowing basketball fans to enjoy top-tier competition without placing a financial strain on their budgets.
Our Purpose
The Buckeye Elite Basketball Showcase has evolved over the years into the premier basketball experience it is today. The BEBS is more than just a series of games—it is a true community event focused on showcasing local talent while providing an opportunity for communities to come together in one central location for fellowship and connection.
Unlike many other basketball events in southern Ohio, the impact of the Buckeye Elite Basketball Showcase extends well beyond the court. All proceeds generated from the event remain in southern Ohio and are donated to charitable organizations in the Portsmouth area, reinforcing the showcase’s commitment to giving back and strengthening the community it represents.
Portsmouth High School
Portsmouth High School’s gymnasium will serve as the host site for the 2027 Buckeye Elite Basketball Showcase. The 1,100-seat arena is home to the Portsmouth Trojans boys and girls basketball teams, as well as the Lady Trojans volleyball program.
First opened in 2015, the facility regularly hosts a variety of regular-season and tournament contests, in addition to numerous community events. Its modern design and central role in the community make it an ideal venue for an event that brings together teams, fans, and communities from across the region.
